From the Itria Valley: sport, sustainability, and love for the land

23 October 2025

On Sunday, October 19, esosport enthusiastically participated in the Leonardo Trulli Race, the running event organized by Alteratletica Locorotondo, created since its inception by Rosalba Cardone, entrepreneur and founder of the Leonardo Trulli Resort, with the aim of promoting the Itria Valley region through sport.

The 13 km route led athletes through trulli, ancient olive trees, and small villages in the heart of Locorotondo, with two races dedicated to competitive and non-competitive runners.

As the official sponsor of the event, esosport fully shares the spirit of the occasion, which – as Rossella Runners, Director of Runners World Italy, noted –

“…is much more than just a race: it is a journey into the beating heart of Puglia, amidst fairytale landscapes, history, and culinary traditions.”

In this edition, the third of the four esosport medals was awarded, designed as a puzzle that will be completed in 2026 with a circle, a symbol of the circular economy that we have been promoting with passion and tangible results for years. Created by re-medal using secondary raw materials obtained from the recycling of end-of-life sports shoes, the medal represents the virtuous link between sport and sustainability.

Every step leaves a mark. Every race like this reminds us that sustainability is a path to be built together.
