Every year in Italy, approximately 2 million tires and 2 million bicycle inner tubes are thrown into unsorted waste, totaling over 1,000 tons of improperly managed waste. These materials, if disposed of inadequately, are one of the main causes of environmental pollution in the sustainable mobility sector, contributing to the accumulation of waste that is difficult to treat and recycle.

Esosport Bike was created to offer a sustainable and concrete solution to this problem. It is an innovative project designed to reduce the environmental impact of waste from bicycle tires and inner tubes, promoting their recovery and transformation into new useful materials.

The service is aimed at municipalities, bike-sharing services, companies, bicycle shops, and sports enthusiasts, creating an efficient and easily accessible collection network for everyone.

Once the service is activated, the customer is provided with a Starter Kit that includes the ESObox, the container dedicated to collecting inner tubes, and the stand for hanging tires. Each kit also includes promotional gadgets to raise public awareness and encourage participation in the project. The ESObox is designed to be placed in shops, gyms, bike parking areas, and other strategic locations where users can easily dispose of their old bicycle materials.

Thanks to our advanced logistics system, the collected materials are then regularly picked up and transported to the ESO RECYCLING plant in Tolentino. Here, through a highly technological and sustainable process, the tires and inner tubes are separated and transformed into secondary raw material, ready to be reused in the production of new materials and eco-friendly products, such as shock-absorbing pavements, surfaces for sports facilities, and other high-performance solutions.
